Advent Calendars Lit Pets

"different", that is the HIC! Finally

January 29, 2009, appointment with the Planning Commission of our beautiful town ...

" Your project is different is a bit difficult! "
Yes, in our beautiful Savoie countryside, we like large roofs with the famous "two sides with ridges" and we offer something else: less bulky roofs, vegetated, discreet ... Briefly, modern and efficient, what!
But "the good people do not like that we follow a different path!" (Georges Brassens).

" Well, in principle, it is not cons such projects ... Moreover, we will reserve a corner of the municipality for that, you'll see! "
we dreaming, an" Indian reserve "for parking passive houses in France in the XXI century!

You understood, we confront the famous pranks obsolete French PLU, which regulate carefully embellishments that have more of personal taste and blithely ignore the basics: building energy performance, controlling the consumption of materials and resources, etc..
We are working to convince ...
Vernacular architecture Rural is made of large farm buildings, scattered, which have traditionally been (in our region) volumes attic very important to store fodder, this is a dual purpose (this is written in clear in the local PLU) :
  • somewhere to forage from the farm (Mr. La Palisse would have said as much!)
  • benefit for them as insulation against the cold coming from the top (well, not our beasts Veterans, their architecture was therefore functional, like ours!)
So we patiently explain to our politicians:
  • that we will certainly not fodder store in our homes, not farmers
  • we have alternatives, very effective, to protect us from the cold came from above: a good layer of insulation in addition to the ecological vegetation, simply and economically
  • it is not really useful to add additional structures on the roof of our house: besides that would make them much more visible in the landscape (known of course as landscape integration: not nice contemporary architecture in the country ...) and it would not meet any need for functionality, it would be a shameful waste materials, energy (including ours), resources, etc.. ... uh, quite the opposite of current and pressing issues on the planet, does not it?
Between us, what fits best?
  • architecture artificial, which seeks to pastiche an old imaginary ... houses that look like farm buildings, under the pretext of rural ... who were home but never animals or fodder?
  • Or a functional architecture, which revisits the place of visual codes (shapes, colors, materials, etc..) Respects without pastiche ... and placing the head and environmental issues in the real center of his reflection?

In fact, in the first case:
  • It does what the volume added in attic? We do not have to store fodder, us!
  • Who pays the superstructure unnecessary? It is not in crisis these days?
  • What will the occupants of the farm located just upstream, which we will block the view of the beautiful landscape?
  • They are put where the solar panels? Due east or due west, it does not work!
Our common will she Petibonum-LES-ALPES, the last Gallic village that resists invasion the twenty-first century?

Acne Cyst Cortisone Before After

2008, a harvest of good news

  1. Today December 31, 2008, the record of Building Permit Application for "Echo Arrambourg Hamlet" was filed in city hall Talloires: thank you for Benedict, our architect
  2. Just before Christmas, the agreement resulting from our success in the call for projects was signed PREBAT: thank you to the ADEME and the Rhône-Alpes
  3. To file the case in city hall and prevent the risk of having to substantially modify our project we expect the result of a pass complete thermal calculations ... is confirmed, the two model homes strive to meet the requirements to be certified PASSIVHAUS, including the 15 kWh/m2.year maximum heat demand for heating: thank you to Richard, our expert in thermal design
  4. early January, we enclenchons the preparation phase to completion, with completion of the technical and consulting firms ... 1 January 2009, our partner manufacturer DDLP, strengthens and welcomes Guillaume as a new partner and a partner to run the business ... Journeyman Carpenters, William is the so-called "Finish Companion" (one of the few who did the "Tour de France", and even the "Tour d'Europe" in his case), he mastered the craft in-depth including the secrets of the Companions ... Makers the record of technical design of structures is already well advanced thank you to Cyril, who has already done considerable work to optimize our field operations
  5. icing on the cake, we now have a visual foreshadowing of landscaping overall for "Echo Arrambourg Hamlet"

Satellite Frequency Indian Channels

chronicle of a small eco-village announced ...

The project's history, starting with the latest news and ending with the oldest:
  • end of November 2008: Visit to the architect , during a short trip to Digne-les-Bains , where his agency ... Objective: Validate the final architectural design & distribution plans, and discuss the ground plane for the provision of 4 houses on our land (which has a shape a bit quirky), and the approach to producing electricity PV ... we are left with options to reflect on these two points, and with the work for the landscaping on the first point
  • Homecoming 2008: the project is refined versions of plans succeed and become clearer, CALEOL into action on the field of thermal design
  • July 2008 : eureka, "Echo Arrambourg Hamlet" was named the winner for the Rhone-Alps of the call for projects 2008 PREBAT ... reward for our efforts since mid-2006: thank you the jury, thank you the Rhone-Alpes, ADEME thank you, thank you, Mr. Architect second
  • May 2008: May 9, we lose our planning permission after failing to submit a draft to the building permit within one year ... at the same time, first drafts of a new project ... we present them at the end of the month to the Planning Commission of the Town Hall, the meeting gives us confidence for the rest
  • April 2008 : tired by waiting 11 months without a conclusive result, convinced that "the time c ' is money ", we differ from our architect ... Grenoble, 2nd National Conference on Passive Building , we are of course again, we present "Echo Arrambourg Hamlet" at the Consumer Forum and happy correlation time, we meet our new architect
  • March 2008: we decided to present "Hamlet Arrambourg Echo" to the call for joint projects PREBAT 2008 State - Regions - ADEME: it is a operation to identify, assist and promote exemplary operations building high performance energy, thus creating a ripple effect among potential French owners ... difficult and acrobatic mount such a file "despite the willingness' of the architect, who did not contribute to even remotely: CALEOL responded to this with no guarantee of future contracts, is at this point that our partner has won our esteem and confidence!
  • February 2008: the architect presents his sketches to the Planning Commission of the City Council Talloires ... the hair of his guests stand over their heads: glup, doubt sets in, and production sketches doubles ... not discourage us, we develop a "Charter of the Echo-Arrambourg Hamlet": the idea is to create the foundation for a harmonious coexistence between people and friendly, with local residents and the environment
  • December 2007: the owner is personally PHPP form, the software for thermal design of passive buildings created by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt (Germany), Mecca of passive design
  • Fall 2007: The first architectural sketches come after several months of waiting, and they will succeed through the winter ...
  • October 2007: very busy month ... first in France, we are conducting a review of the Environmental Impact for our project: the regulations do not demand for industrial installations and sensitive techniques, likely to harm the environment and security ... we conduct two study trips to refine our knowledge: firstly, in Vorarlberg (Austria), the leading European region in passive construction, the other to Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany), a European cities flagship eco-town planning ... and we work on our land a geobiologist to ensure future residents the best possible health conditions of life: egg, our feeling is confirmed, we have an excellent site
  • May 2007: on the one hand The mayor of Talloires deliver us the planning permission for our operations on our land (great!) ... secondly, we sign a contract preliminary studies with architectural firm enough reputation of the Rhone-Alpes (also awesome!): normal to trust experienced professionals to conduct a pioneering operation
  • April 2007: Grenoble, 1st National Conference on Passive Building, we are obviously, and it is the revelation: our houses are to be passive ... is an approach to building designer, not a legislative approach: the idea is to optimize the building design to completion, by cutting the causes of poor quality and non-performance ... passive construction, performance is a natural result, the best possible and most relevant, not a ukase "sovereign" ... by its nature and its own approach is a constructive solution optimum, and is available now, there are already thousands of buildings liabilities (PASSIVHAUS repository, born in Germany, European law) in Europe ... no doubt that our homes will be passive, in line with the European baseline PASSIVHAUS !
  • January 2007: we're developing the program of the operation, we define what we expect of houses (size, functionality, architecture, etc.).'s Point of view of the future inhabitant, reserving professionals we next propose their technical approach to achieve ... This will be an eco-village landscape: we define the original concept "echo Hamlet Zen & rgy" (with an H echo because it is one of the challenges of eco-urbanism!) ... and the adventure begins, because in our beautiful country, it is quite another to undertake and promote a project "different"!
  • December 2006: Since the trip to Los Angeles, we are informed on the principles & issues involved in building energy-efficient, experiences & methods, component suppliers, etc.. ... Just before Christmas, we meet PRIORITERRE , Space Energy Info Haute-Savoie: happy coincidence, the association is preparing to become an agent of MINERGIE for France ... our homes should be homes MINERGIE!
  • October 2006: it is understood that our houses will be wood and build the DDLP , Cyril and Jean-Loup Bert make the Salon Maison Bois in Angers, they hear Samuel COURGEY conference about building energy performance, evoke MINERGIE (repository Swiss energy performance of buildings) and announced the creation of EFFINERGIE: it a discovery ... not only the houses of wood, but they are energy-efficient!
  • Summer 2006: The field is large, the contact with the owner family is good and enterprising, we share the same philosophy, we do not want to waste space or make it a natural fortress privatized we want to develop the site while respecting the natural environment, we decided to share the land among several people ... there will be 4 houses!
  • May 2006: Eureka, discovered the land of my dreams, on the plateau of Saint Germain on Talloires
An intense story, an adventure full of surprises and discoveries, a journey infinitely rewarding ... mountains of energy involved in this operation ...

Still, time is running out, file, file ... and we dream of a filing for a building permit quick, quick, quick ... because behind, we must also count the length of the investigation and the appeal period for third before starting work, where our goal is to open the site at the end of winter begins.
Yes, France did not really value the culture of the time, nor the optimization!
